Catalpa Grove Farm

What we Raise & Produce

We are excited about helping families enjoy wholesome food!  Everything we raise is done with the intent to provide for a healthier living for many others. From our gardening practices to the feed we select for our animals, our main goal is to promote healthy, sustainable growth for all the living plants and animals on our farm.

At Catalpa Grove Farm, we humanely raise our hogs, sheep and goats without the use of added antibiotics and hormones.  We do not use animal by-products in our feed.

We sell wholesale to chefs in Chicago, Evanston, Aurora, and Westmont.

Goats & Lambs

A favorite time of year is the lambing season! We enjoy working with and watching the young animals grow. Along with milk from the mother, we purchase feed from a local feed mill, which is a mixture of cracked corn, oats, bean meal and minerals, for the sheep and goats.

Berkshire Pigs

Our pigs enjoy produce, just like we do! Veggie scraps from our garden usually disappear quickly. Here the Berkshires are feasting on pumpkin rinds. The pigs are also fed a combination of cracked corn/protein  and mineral mixture.

Heirloom Vegetables

Heirlooms are the unique, flavorful varieties of vegetables and fruit that have been around for at least 50 years (before commercial hybrids came along). We plant heirloom seeds to get the best quality and flavor in our produce!
